Co-scholastic Activities

The entire student community is divided into four houses. They are MERCURY, VENUS, JUPITER, and NEPTUNE. Each house has a house leader and a house mentor to guide the students. The house system inculcates the qualities of leadership, cooperation, mutual understanding, tolerance, camaraderie and self-reliance. Various activities such as dramatics, elocution, group singing, etc are organized. Students are also initiated into community service and social work.

We believe that what goes on outside the classroom is as important as what goes on within it. Our regular academic timetable is therefore punctuated with a variety of co-curricular activities. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are beneficial for the students as they help students to utilize their leisure time as well as energy innovatively.

Exposure to music and the visual arts enables personal, social and intellectual growth; allows for new ways of communicating ideas and improving cognitive capacities and motivations to learn. These activities also help students to explore and recognize their potential and hone the creativity. Some of these activities can develop into strong hobbies later in their lives. Yoga will be a mandatory feature of the academic programme. The focus will be on imparting the spirit of inquiry, connecting education to the realities of life, and emphasizing learning by doing.
